Crescent City Countdown Club to Welcome in 2017 as Only New Orleans Can!
With a dedicated corps of community sponsors, the Crescent City Countdown Club will welcome 2017 as only New Orleans can! At the stroke of midnight, the illuminated fleur de lis descends to the roof of the Jackson Brewery and the dramatic celebratory fireworks display will fill the sky over the Mississippi River with every color of the rainbow in floral shapes like chrysanthemums, peonies, and weeping willows nonstop until the Grand Finale concludes the powerful pyrotechnic presentation. The fireworks show is FREE and can be seen from the East and West Banks of the Mississippi River from the Riverwalk to Crescent Park at the French Market. Enjoy the spectacular Symphony in the Sky!
From all of us at the Crescent City Countdown Club, have a safe, healthy, and happy new year, everyone!

About the Fleur de Lis...
In New Orleans, rather than drop a traditional, glowing ball to welcome the new year, a large fleur-de-lis is lowered during the countdown to in historic Jackson Square. Solomon Group reimagined the design of the city's adopted symbol, making it more visually striking for television audiences. The six-foot tall fleur-de-lis incorporates backlit sign-style construction with acrylic faces set inside custom metal fabricated channels that are internally lit with RGBA LED tape. Look for it during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, live for the first-ever Central Time Zone Countdown in New Orleans!
New feature this year for the Midnight Fireworks over the Mississippi!
Download the app to hear the choreographed fireworks music.
The fireworks show is choreographed to a medley of contemporary party music, including songs by Maroon 5, Bruno Mars and Pink, followed by the spirited fight songs of our visiting Sugar Bowl Auburn and Oklahoma football teams as those two teams’ colors are reflected in the aerial fireworks barrage on the river. This year the CCCC, through J & M Displays, will provide an iPhone and Android app that will allow anyone who downloads the app to hear the show music in real time in sync to the fireworks.
The app can be downloaded by going to www.jandmdisplays.com/app.html or scan the QR code below.
